Introduction

Born in an artistic environment in the Principality of Monaco (10/22/43),
he will be fully encouraged by his mother, a fashion stylist and pianist,
and by his father, a painter. The general cycle of studies over, his inborn
taste for observing the environment and for drawing will lead him to participate
to the Art School of Nice where he will learn the basis of art : drawing,
painting, sculpture...His prevailed talent will appear early with a "special prize for painting" in 1964, and recognition from his peer in 1996 as being "The Laureate of the National Diploma of Beaux Arts". From 1968, as his audience grow larger along with his various exhibitions, he will obtain a bronze medal for his participation to the "Salon des Seigneurs de l'Art" in Chateauneuf du Pape and a silver medal in Arles. Right after, he will be awarded the "Grand Prix" (impressionism) by the 20th exhibition of the Nice Carnival. Admitted to the "Grand Salon du Cap Ferrat Art International" he will soon after that have an exhibition in Ansoui (Luberon) in the castle of the "Roy René". In his (short) spare time, he organises various exhibitions outside of St Paul. At the ROTARY of Nice, his paintings are next to Sosno, Tobiasse, Ben. His paintings are found as well in Divonne-les-Bains, Valbonne, Courchevel (France), Florence (Italie), Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Seattle (USA). His growing succes with both the public and art critics will drive him to his easel in St Paul de Vence, not very far from the famous "Colombe d'Or", in a XVIth century stone built house, in the heart of the village where art is the equivalent of religion. A few steps away from there his studio on the edge of the west ramparts of the village offers the view of an exceptional landscape set by a divine combination of luminosity and quietness, those being the essential ingredients for the alchemy of his artistic creation. In this mythical village of Saint Paul de Vence art lovers the world over acknowledge the exceptional talent of Adrien Moroni by adding to their collections year after year some of his paintings and sculptures. In 1997, the DISEGNI Publishing house dedicate to his talent an art book with some of his paintings, sculptures and sketches for the decade 1987 / 1997. His name appears in the latest edition of "SERMADIRAS", the international art guide for 1998 / 1999. "Th e Chêne vert Editions" will introduce him in the year 2000, through the publishing of the book Year 2000 : 20 recognized contemprary artists. Since 1993, his signature is indexed in the book of the "Cote des Arts". The result from his past auctions can be found in reference books such as : Art Price Annual 2001, l'Annuel des Arts 2000, l'Akoun, Drouot Cotation. Magazines dedicated to art like "Arts Actualités Magazines" or "l'Univers des Arts" relate of his work on a regular basis in order to satisfy the everlasting interest of his art lovers. |
